Finally upgrading our community's recycling setup
Finally upgrading our community's recycling setup
I'm part of a residential community committee in Abu Dhabi and we've been trying to encourage more recycling among residents, but our current setup with small plastic containers just isn't cutting it anymore. They overflow constantly, trash blows around on windy days, and honestly it's starting to make the whole area look messy and neglected. I've been tasked with finding larger, more professional solutions and I've been browsing through Crateco's website because they seem to have a good range of industrial-grade containers. I noticed they have these massive wheeled bins that look perfect for our needs, and I'm thinking of proposing to the committee that we invest in several of them for different waste streams. I've been trying to find a decent 1100l waste bin for sale that's durable enough to withstand our harsh summers and frequent use, but I also need to consider whether they're easy for our cleaning staff to maneuver around the compound. Does anyone have experience with these big bins in a residential setting? Are they easy to move when full, or do you really need specialized equipment to handle them? I'm also curious about how well the lids stay closed in strong winds because we get some pretty serious gusts here during the summer months. I want to make sure we get something that actually works well rather than just looking good on paper, so any practical feedback would be invaluable before I present this to the committee and request the budget for it.
